Rob Baldassare joins CRTA Board

TORONTO, July 2, 2024 –The Canadian Regulatory Technology Association is pleased to welcome Robert Baldassare to the CRTA Board of Directors replacing Charlene Sebastian. Rob is a well-known advisor and innovation champion in Canada's start up ecosystem having served a 5-year term at MaRS Discovery District.

The CRTA brings together all stakeholders in the Canadian RegTech ecosystem – including regulators, regulated entities, and technology firms – to facilitate dialogue, raise standards, and promote growth and innovation. As a neutral party, the CRTA seeks to support the use of technology to make compliance easier, and more efficient and effective.

CRTA founder and Board Chair Donna Bales said: “We are thrilled that Rob has joined the CRTA at a time when innovation is at the top of our agenda. Canada's future prosperity is at risk if we do not keep pace with technology innovation and adjust how we operate and cultivate innovation within the financial services ecosystem. Rob has seen first-hand the challenges our Canadian entrepreneurs face and will be an invaluable advocate and champion for this initiative as well as our broader program activities.”

Rob joins current CRTA board president, Paul Childerhose and founder Donna Bales
