TORONTO, July 2, 2024 –The Canadian Regulatory Technology Association is pleased to welcome Robert Baldassare to the CRTA Board of Directors replacing Charlene Sebastian. Rob is a well-known advisor and innovation champion in Canada's start up ecosystem having served a 5-year term at MaRS Discovery District.
The CRTA brings together all stakeholders in the Canadian RegTech ecosystem – including regulators, regulated entities, and technology firms – to facilitate dialogue, raise standards, and promote growth and innovation. As a neutral party, the CRTA seeks to support the use of technology to make compliance easier, and more efficient and effective.

Meet our new Board Member
Board Member: Robert Baldassare
Rob Baldassare is a leader with 35 years’ experience in sales and operations spanning multiple industries, including telecom, enterprise software, manufacturing, distribution and fintech. He helped scale a US-based fintech until its acquisition by a public company and subsequently went on to be an advisor to 60+ fintech companies in Canada. Rob has an engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Ivey Business School.
