NOVEMBER 17, 2023, TORONTO – The Canadian Regulatory Technology Association (CRTA) is very pleased to announce the 11 winners of this year’s prestigious Canadian RegTech Award, designed to recognize significant achievement an innovation in the advancement of regulatory technology solutions. Now in its third year, the live ceremony was hosted at EY Canada’s downtown office, our co-host and partner for this annual initiative.
The evening's event was the culmination of many months of ideation, planning and coordination with a multitude of stakeholders, to bring the Awards program to the Canadian RegTech ecosystem.
“I would like to extend my deep appreciation to each of our sponsor organizations Badal.io, EY Canada, Invest Northern Ireland, Minerva, The AML Shop and BigID. and to the panel of senior executives and industry leaders who invested their time in reviewing and rating the extraordinary nominations that were submitted by the RegTech solution providers. To each of the nominees and to those declared winners – I offer my sincere congratulations,” said CRTA Board Director Paul Childerhose.
“It's our honour to recognize and celebrate the industry leaders who are pushing the boundaries of innovation and enabling Canada's business community to meet and improve regulatory compliance and oversight. As an organization at the forefront of driving digital transformation within Canada's most highly regulated industries, Badal.io takes pride in sponsoring this year's Canadian RegTech Association, Ivona Cristina Ignatenco - Director Strategy & Advisory
The CRTA Awards were announced in August and 11 different award categories drew a large volume of nominations, which were assessed and judged by a panel of independent experts. The judging panel, process, and details for each category can be found on the Awards website. The quality of nominations received this year are proof of the promise of Canada’s RegTech sector – a field where Canada already has both expertise and growing international standing.
Donna Bales, Founder of the CRTA, said “Innovation is a critical driver for Canada’s lasting prosperity but here in Canada we do not always take the bold risks needed to support and drive the innovation economy. This is why I love this event. It’s a time to reflect, learn, support and champion the innovators, creators, disruptors, and leaders that are challenging the norms and leveraging technology to drive change and lead Canada towards a more sustainable future.”
