TORONTO, October 4, 2023 – The Canadian Regulatory Technology Association (CRTA) is pleased to welcome to the CRTA Board of Directors its newest member, Charlene Sebastian. She has served the association as a strategic advisor and active volunteer since July 2021; and replaces Matt Fowler as board Vice President.
The CRTA brings together all stakeholders in the Canadian RegTech ecosystem – including regulators, regulated entities and technology firms – to facilitate dialogue, raise standards, and promote growth and innovation. As a neutral party, the CRTA seeks to support the use of technology to make compliance easier, and more efficient and effective.
CRTA founder and Board Chair Donna Bales said, “Charlene brings over 15 years of regulatory technology delivery within the Canadian financial services landscape having held senior roles at some of Canada’s largest banks. As Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Minerva, an AML compliance provider, she is well positioned to compliment the skills and knowledge of the existing board, with a focus on thought leadership and member engagement.” She added, “We look forward to Charlene’s fresh perspective and energy as we continue to expand the breadth of our program activities.”
Charlene joins current CRTA board President, Paul Childerhose and founder Donna Bales.
