Client Focused Reforms - Vendor Showcase
The Client Focused Reforms (CFRs) introduced by Canadian regulators pose significant challenges for dealers and other regulated entities. Many questions remain regarding the new requirements and how to comply. One thing is clear: not only will technology help firms comply – it will be critical to their ability to operate efficiently under the new rules.
This CRTA event aims to educate dealers and other registered entities about the Canadian RegTech offerings available to them, so they can find the best solutions to their unique CFR challenges. Five CRTA members will each present a 10-minute video about their product/service offerings. Each presentation will be followed by a 5-minute audience Q&A. |

Beyond Controls - Exploring Cyber InnovationIn our increasingly connected world, it is an unfortunate truth that new cyber threat actors are ever emerging, that cyber attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and costly to their victims, and that the ability of an organization to conduct mission critical operations is threatened by things as innocuous as a well-intentioned employee clicking the wrong link. In such a world, cybersecurity controls, standards, and a robust culture of security are invaluable to the ongoing success of an organization. However, standards, frameworks, and cyber controls are often double-edged swords. In general, the more restrictions that are placed on an organization, and the more focus that is placed on compliance and processes, the more difficult it becomes to innovate. In this webinar AJ Khan, CEO and Founder of CyberStrategiez and Philip Lafrance, Standards Manager, ISARA will delve into the Cybersecurity Innovation Leadership Framework (CILF) which they have developed to help organizations incorporate innovation into their cyber decision making and expand their capabilities to adopt and innovate on new cyber technologies and processes, all while enhancing their risk management processes and establishing themselves as cybersecurity innovation leaders. Myron Mallia-Dare, Business and Technology lawyer at Miller Thomson LLP will moderate this session. |
