The CIO Strategy Council and the Canadian Regulatory Technology Association (CRTA) today announced a new partnership to advance regulatory efficiency and promote digital governance research, proof-of-concepts, and standards in the Canadian RegTech ecosystem. “Now, more than ever, it is clear that a more dynamic compliance and risk management approach is needed, and no doubt technology will play a central role. But for innovation to truly thrive, the private and public sectors need to work together,” said Donna Bales, co-founder and member of the board of the Canadian Regulatory Technology Association. “Scoping new standards and testing concepts are key steps towards a stronger ecosystem and we are pleased to work alongside the CIO Strategy Council to improve, create and adopt technical standards and advance regulatory efficiencies in Canada.”
"Technology is transforming how public and private sector organizations can solve complex regulatory challenges and in what way they are able to manage compliance and outcomes" said Keith Jansa, Executive Director of the CIO Strategy Council. "We are looking forward to working with CRTA in advancing collective digital governance solutions and standards to improve the productivity and ability for businesses and government institutions to ultimately provide better services to Canadians."
